Parent Involvement
VIP Service Program
Grace Harbor created the Very Important Partnership (VIP) service program to help benefit our students by getting parents involved in supporting our school. Parent involvement provides positive reinforcement for children and forms an important partnership in a child's education.
"Decades of research have proven that children with involved parents do better in school and are more successful in life."
– Joan Dykstra, National PTA President (1996-97)
All school families (Hoppers – 5th grade) are required to participate in VIP by contributing a minimum of 15 service hours assisting in school related activities. Any family member over the age of 18 may perform VIP service hours and is responsible for submitting a completed VIP Time Record slip.
Fundraising
Successful fundraising campaigns are important to help our school improve classroom and playground equipment, supplement the cost of school field trips and provide for other special needs.
Parents and students are encouraged to fully participate with all of the fundraining opportunities organized throughout the school year.
