Curriculum
top ↑Infant Classroom
Welcome to the Infant Classroom! Here you will find nurturing teachers to provide attentive, affectionate care to your baby, while bathing them in language as they perform everyday routines. Our Infant classroom meets the needs for physical comfort, emotional security, beginning socialization and language development for the infant from age 3 months to 18 months.
Our classroom is designed to promote all aspects of the infants developmental stages. While feeding, diapering and sleeping compose much of the infant's day, our staff strives to encourage the appropriate physical skills for the child's age. The beginning of socialization occurs in the Infant classroom, when the child notices the other children. Language development is enriched by teachers who talk to the child, and read or sing to him/her each day. Music is an important element of the curriculum for every infant, youngest to oldest.
A classroom of bright colors and age appropriate toys provide optimum stimulation for infant development. Floor gyms, mirrors, and soft toys surround the youngest children. As your infant grows into a toddler, the learning materials become more complex. Once your baby is able to sit and crawl he she is introduced to balls, stacking and sorting toys, as well as blocks. Your early walker, will be encouraged to utilize push toys, table toys, and simple art materials.
